These basic and somewhat rundown wooden shacks on the east side of the island may appeal to those looking to stay here on a very tight budget. Recently expanded and improved 3 Brothers is run by the friendly and helpful Randy and Lucila who go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant and safe stay at their place. Grace’s Cool Spot
Backpacker favorite, Cool Spot, has brightly colored cabins by the beach, mostly shared bathrooms but a couple with private facilities also. A great place to meet other travelers, and while away the day lazing in hammocks, snorkeling, and as it gets dark to savor a cold beer or bottle of rum. Close to the dock where you arrive on the west side of the island, this clean hotel offers private rooms with bathroom and fan from $20 per night. Note that they do not generally take reservations, and a website that recently appeared which offers bookings/deposits has been reported as being a scam and not being run by the same people who actually run the hotel, our tip is to avoid using this site and just check for availability on arrival.

Carlito’s Sunrise Paradise
Beach cabins on the east side of the island with a variety of accomodation options from one bed up to a two bedroom cabin with self contained kitchen and bathroom. “Closer to Home”
Located about a 3-4 minute walk from the dock, on the way to LCBB, there are brand new 8 cabins and on site bard/restaurant, just opened in March 2015. Small cabins have one queen size bed and private bathroom and veranda for $25 a night. Larger family cabins have 2 bedrooms with a total of 3 queen size beds, private bathroom and verands plus kitchen with fridge for $50 per night. Prices include breakfast.
