Little Corn Island Nicaragua – Welcome to Paradise

From the moment you arrive at the Little Corn Island dock on your open panga, you’ll know the journey, long or short, has been worth it… You’ve left behind the hustle and bustle of the mainland, your home town, your job, and arrived on one of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean. Little Corn is a refreshing alternative to the Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cancun, Cozumel, Roatan, Honduras, El Salvador, Belize, etc. Many of which have become hyper-developed, and have lost of the unspoiled “Old-Style Caribbean” vibe. Little Corn is still the way much of the Caribbean was 30 or 40 years ago, but it’s also not lacking for options and amenities.

By clicking the links in the menu at the top of this page you’ll find lots of information to help you plan your Little Corn Island visit. All of the businesses listed will also be happy to give you more information about the services they offer, along with their current pricing. When website listings are shown, please click on the links for more info about them, including direct contact information.

Note there is also a “Contact” link above as well. Please don’t hesitate to write if you have a question that you can’t find an answer for in these pages. We’re not a travel agency, per se, but residents of the island who can possibly help you make informed decisions to plan your trip.

Update October 2025:
It’s been a great year here on the Little Island.
After a slow-to-start dry-season back in Jan-Feb, the weather has been particularly good this year, including what are usually the more rainy months. October has been amazingly dry for what is usually the wettest month of the year. Yes, there’s been some showers, but most days have been sunny or partly cloudy with many spectacular sunsets. We’ve been very happy that this has been our 4th season with no hurricanes or tropical storms in our area at all, and that season is about to come to an end.
November marks the gradual beginning of the driest months (the main ones being Dec through May), but on average, the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua is sunny, partly cloudy, or just passing showers, about 90% of the year.

La Costeña Airlines had a small rate increase this year, but are stlll doable for more visitors. There is always the economy way to get here as well. You can find both on the “Getting Here” tab in the menu above.

There are more restaurants, bars/cafes (some of which have refreshed looks and menus this year), hotels, and Airbnb, options here this year than ever before, so if you haven’t been here for a while, come enjoy the new offerings.

High-speed internet is more available than ever before, as well, and several cafes cater to remote workers, with full-time power outlets at the tables and bar. Notable places where remote workers are welcome are Tranquilo Cafe and Desi on the west side.
